Guidelines for Elders Ag Excellence Alliance Grower Awards for 2009/10.
Eligibility
The Ag Ex Grower Awards are open to all AEA affiliated grower groups
across SA ( including Ag Bureaus) involved in;supporting the research, development and adoption of improved sustainable farming practices.
Award
There will be one major award
with any encouragement award at the discretion of the judging panel.The winning group will be encouraged to celebrate and promote their achievements with members and key contributors.
Where feasible, representatives of other grower groups within the region
will be encouraged to attend witha view to increase networking and sharing of ideas and experiences.
The Award will be presented at the annual Ag Excellence Alliance Forum Dinner on
March 22nd 2010 by
the Award Sponsor and either an AEA or NRM representative.

Award publicity will be through grower groups, the AEA web site and
through press releases inregional papers.
Grower groups wishing to enter the awards must complete the AEA Group Awards 2009/10 entry form
available on the AEA web site.
Judging
Judging panel will consist of representative of AEA and NRM.
Judging Criteria
Applicant groups will be judged by demonstrating:
How they participate in AEA events and support AEA objectives
Their understanding of sustainable agriculture (triple bottom line –
Successful engagement and delivery of information to young farmers.
Success in promoting adoption of improved practices.
Delivery of training and adoption of business risk strategies.
Management of the Group's succession of volunteers and staff.
Groups may also be invited to submit additional information to support
their case (ie photosand/or reports relevant to the judging criteria), keeping in mind that copies need to be made
available for judges.

Award Presentation
The Award winning Group will be announced at the AEA Forum Dinner to be held on
